Alcohol Awareness Week

The Department of Health Promotion & Wellness is excited to announce Alcohol Awareness Week. There will be a series of events from Health Promotion & Wellness, Collegiate Recovery and Intervention Services, University Programs, and other campus partners to bring awareness on alcohol and substance misuse. Come join these signature sober events and learn about resources in your community! 

Tuesday, Oct. 7

Mocktails & Trivia

7 – 8 p.m. 
Great Hall in the UA Student Center

Please join HPW and CRIS for some yummy mocktails and a fun game of Trivia about alcohol education and on-campus resources! 

Wednesday, Oct. 8

Mental Health Brown Bag – Unbottled: The Truth About Stress, Alcohol, and Coping Strategies 

Noon – 1 p.m.

College life can be overwhelming, and stress is inevitable. The way you cope with stress matters. Learn about the truth between stress, alcohol, use, and coping strategies. Join Lillian McKinney from the College of Nursing as she talks about practical tools and coping strategies to help you thrive!

Clear Conversations: A Panel on Alcohol and Healing

6:30 – 7:30 p.m. 
UA Student Center Forum 

Please join HPW and CRIS for a panel discussion where students and professionals will share real stories and insights about alcohol use, recovery, and the journey toward wellness. This will be a safe space to explore the impact of alcohol on college life, highlight resources on campus, and how to support yourself and others.  Free pizza provided!

Roll Tide Can Event

BABH & University Programs presents their “Roll Tide” Can Event: our partnership with Beat Auburn Beat Hunger! Your student organization can bring cans to help BABH spell out “Roll Tide” on the Student Center Lawn! We will have free food such as churros, cake pops, and dipped Rice Krispies, yard games to participate in, a DJ, giveaways, and fun DIYs! You don’t wanna miss it!

Please join HPW & Counseling Center on the Crimson Promenade to celebrate World Mental Health Day! Write affirmations for your peers, grab some snacks, and learn about mental health resources available to you on campus. 

Murder Mystery Night

A University Programs event – Get ready for a night of romance, rivalry, and deadly secrets! Join us for a thrilling murder mystery evening where love is complicated, everyone’s a detective, and a few will become suspects. Will you solve the crime before it’s too late? Plus, we’ll be serving Urban Bar and Kitchen to keep you fueled throughout the night! Don’t miss out on this unforgettable evening of suspense!

Alabama vs. Mizzou Watch Party

Can’t travel to Columbia, MO with the Tide? Join UP (University Programs) for our watch party for Bama v. Mizzou! We will be in UASC Lawn on October 11, 2025, 1 hour before kickoff.
