The department of Health Promotion & Wellness is excited to announce the eleventh annual Wellness Week. There will be a series of events to promote health and well-being centered around the Alabama Model from Sept. 14-18. Come join these signature events and learn about resources in your community to help enhance your well-being!
Monday, Sept. 14: Mocktail Mondays
10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
In front of Tutwiler Hall
Join HPW for a refreshing mocktail and put your decision-making skills to the test through real-life alcohol-related scenarios. Explore how to safely and confidently step in when someone may need support by learning active bystander intervention strategies, including the 5 D’s: Direct, Distract, Delegate, Delay, and Document. Walk away with practical tools to look out for your friends and help create a safer campus community.
Wednesday, Sept. 16: Student Health Fair
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Student Center Plaza
Join Health Promotion & Wellness, campus partners, and community partners on the Student Center Plaza for the 2026 Fall Health Fair. Students will learn about the various health and wellness services offered on campus and within the Tuscaloosa community with a focus on tips and resources for being safe and healthy!
Thursday, Sept. 17: Flu Blast Clinic
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Northeast section of the Quad
Join Health Promotion & Wellness, the Student Health Center and the College of Nursing to get your flu shot on Thursday, September 17! The flu shot clinic will be located on the Northeast section of the Quad and will be operating from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. From 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., there will be giveaway bundle available that includes a football shaker, UA themed stadium cup and Liquid IV. You don’t want to miss this event!
Thursday, Sept. 17: Build Your Bite
11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Fresh Food Company Dining Hall
Join Bama Dining for Build Your Bite, a fun and interactive event that teaches students how to create a balanced plate using MyPlate principles. Test your nutrition knowledge through a hands-on game featuring popular Fresh Food Company menu items, pick up practical nutrition resources and learn simple strategies for building balanced meals in the dining hall and beyond.
Friday, Sept. 18: Collegiate Recovery Silent Disco (Weeks of Welcome)

Join University Programs for a cozy, high-energy Silent Disco in partnership with Collegiate Recovery where comfy meets fun! Grab your headphones and dance the night away at our silent disco, then unwind with a Wins & Wisdom Jar to reflect, share, and connect. Enjoy delicious pizza while getting creative at our DIY stations. Whether you’re here to vibe, craft, or meet new people, this is the ultimate feel-good night you won’t want to miss!
